Last weekend Joe and I spent the weekend with our families. My grandma Anne was in town for a few days and Joe's sister, Annika graduated from nursing school (YIPPY!). I had great time catching up with grandma, and introducing her to Joe and Kirby.Kirby loved showing off his "tricks." Annie's graduation was wonderful too. It took her a lot of hard work and dedication to get where she's at. WAY TO GO! Although the weekend was busy, and full of many events, spending time with family is what makes everything worthwhile. Family is the love and support that keeps me going. So... I've attached a few pictures from the weekend:

Here is Grandma, Madison, and Dad hanging out :o)

Way to go Annika!! Congratulations :o)

After the weekend was over Joe and I sat on our bedroom floor watching the Sunday night news, with Kirby running around our feet. I just smiled, because that's my family, and it's perfect.

Best Friends

I have spent the past few months thinking about best friends. What makes a best friend? Who can you consider a best friend? Does the phrase "BFF" actually happen? Here's what I found out...

A best friend is someone you can call in the middle of the night, and they aren't mad you're calling, they are happy to hear your voice. A best friend is someone you can tell your TRUE dreams to and they say "wow." A best friend is someone you haven't talked to in 6 months, but every time you talk it's as if there wasn't a day that passes. A best friend doesnt forget your birthday. A best friend still knows your favorite color. A best friend tells you the truth. A best friend inspires you to be the best person you can be.

Recently one of my BFF's, Melody inspired me to write my own blog. So here I am... First post!
